New comics!
The Amazing Spider-Man #27
Harley Quinn #61
The Flash #32
Last weekend I was at a convention / rave / bender and coincidentally there was a panel for Cannonballers. Supposedly this guy runs the spreadsheet, I gotta send him an email. Crazy that this is at the same place where I’m buying vintage dirty mags, pictured above. Turns out a few big cannonballers are transgender furries.

New comics!
Nightwing #137
Absolute Batman #15 & #19
The Amazing Spider-Man #26
Deathstroke: The Terminator #2
There’s some wild scenery out in the South West, I now understand why so many artists portray it in depictions of America while ignoring the East. Part of the reason for that is you can see so far. There’s plenty of beauty on the East side of America but you can’t see further than a few hundred feet in front of you. We stopped for chimichangas in Arizona, the birthplace of the deep fried burrito. This was probably the best thing we ate on the trip. It looks like it’s going to be heavy and sloppy, but it tasted surprisingly light and fresh. I think of it as a South West chicken pot pie. This is comics related because Deadpool likes chimichangas or something. This spot seemed to be famous for chimichangas like Pats and Genos are for cheesesteaks. The seats we sat on were 200 degrees from cooking in the desert heat.

The Amazing Spider-Man #25
Crisis on Infinite Earths #1
Harley Quinn #60
Iron Man #3
Penguin: Pain and Prejudice #1
Teen Titans: Year One #1
The Flash #31
Did you know The Cannonball has an official finish line? I did a lot of research before the trip and that never actually came up. Admittedly, I’m still working my way through the book. We got it done in 97 hours. A typical run is usually less than 40, but without sleep. We didn’t think we’d smash any records, but somehow we were able to do better than some of the original treks across the country (before highways were invented).

Death Note. Black Edition Ⅱ
So we just crossed the country and I have a lot to show. We stopped in New Orleans for a Bourdain-style three hour tour of the city with our wonderful guide. We played slots at a gay bar, got slushies on Bourbon St., beignets by the river, and were able to hit a comic book store. My friend and I are usually trading books through the mail but this time we could do an in-person handoff. Mister Miracle and Beneath the Trees are his picks for me. He can’t say “no one visits me” anymore!

New comics!
The Amazing Spider-Man #23
DC K.O. #5 - surprised how good this crossover is for just being a fighting tournament
Poison Ivy #42
Harley Quinn #1 - this is THE number 1! The original number 1! Very excited to have this in my collection. I think I’ve caught the bug of buying collectable books but still only books I can read and not something locked in a shell (I can lock it up myself later). He mentioned it’s easy to tell the era of comic books you’re looking at when you look at the price, these handful span 35 cents to a dollar.
I was on my way to the juggalo rave and decided I needed a cheesesteak. I don’t get the opportunity often so I must take every chance I can get. The next day on my way to a nerd’s house in south Philly I got another cheesesteak, life is like that sometimes. Having Philip’s and Oregon Steaks back to back made it obvious that Oregon is my favorite, but Philip’s has that easy parking…
I’m starting the Cannon Ball Run next week and will be starting it with very-philly food within me. If all goes to plan, I’ll have TWO cheeseburgers during the trip.
